The Reconstruction Agency is collaborating with the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake so that the Olympics will serve as a major boost to reconstruction through holding competitions and the torch relay in the affected areas.

The Reconstruction Agency will continue promoting the charms of the disaster-affected areas undergoing reconstruction, including the “ARIGATO” Host Towns for Supporting Reconstruction, local products such as foods and flowers, and tourism.
