The “Fukko Daijin Hai “e-Fukko Soccer Senshuken”” - Reconstruction Minister′s Cup - “e-Fukko Soccer Championship” is an e-sports (football) tournament, organized by Reconstruction Agency, Government of Japan. As you know, e-sports has exploded in popularity in recent years, especially among young people.

One of the unique feature of this tournament is that the main competition venue is “J-Village”.

"J-Village," located in Fukushima prefecture, is very famous for the sacred field of Japanese national football team and one of the symbolic facilities of recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Another unique feature is that this Championship is 11-player vs. 11-player style’s offline e-sports football tournament ( 11 on 11 ). This would be a very rare e-sports game format in the world.

Through this unique event, the organizer, Reconstruction Agency, Government of Japan, supports the development of the disaster-affected areas (especially, Fukushima, Miyagi and Iwate pref.), to promote the attractiveness of the areas and the safety and security of food products produced in the areas, and to increase the demand for products produced in the areas and the number of tourists.

3. About J-Village

J-Village, the venue of the main competition of "e-Fukko Soccer Championship", is a national football training center established in 1997 in Fukushima Prefecture. It has been a sacred place for Japanese football, but since March 2011, it has been used as a base to cope with the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident. In April 2019, it has fully resumed operations and is now a symbolic facility for the recovery of the disaster-affected area.
