The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) perform various approaches to support reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake through Tokyo 2020.
On June 8 TMG planted symbol trees of Iwate prefecture, Miyagi prefecture, Fukushima prefecture and Kumamoto prefecture in Ariake arena to make the trees a symbol of “Recovery and Reconstruction Games”after the Games.
TMG earnestly wish this memorial tree planting to be a symbol to tie Tokyo residents and affected area.
