[12 March, 2015] Joint Reception hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Fukushima Prefecture

 

On 12 March, 2015, Minister Takeshita attended the Joint Reception hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Fukushima Prefecture. This reception aims at quelling damaging misperception and misinformation by presenting Fukushima’s cuisine, Sake, and traditional industrial arts and promoting the “charm” of Fukushima towards diplomatic corps and chambers of commerce stationed in Tokyo and tourism industry. In his remark at the reception, Minister Takeshita expressed appreciation for the support extended from around the world, explained the recovery of Fukushima and its food safety, and asked for removal of restrictions on imports from Fukushima.
