DATA 01 Agricultural output

POINT

Although there has been recovery to 91% of the pre-earthquake level, the output has not reached the national level of growth. However, there has been an upward trend in recent years.

DATA 02 Changes in prices of major agricultural products(Changes in the price difference between Fukushima products and the national average)

Changes in prices of major agricultural products(Changes in the price difference between Fukushima products and the national average)

Source: "Survey on the distribution of agricultural products from Fukushima Prefecture", Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries

*The price index is calculated by dividing the price difference between Fukushima Prefecture and the national average by the national average price. For example, if the price in Fukushima Prefecture is 10% lower than the national average, the index will be -10%.

POINT

The price gap between products from Fukushima Prefecture and the national average is recovering,
but some items, such as beef and peaches, are below the national average.

DATA 03 Monitoring results for agricultural, forestry and fishery products

Rice

POINT

From FY2012, all rice produced and shipped from throughout the prefecture has been inspected. The standard limit has not been exceeded from FY2015 onwards. With the exception of 12 municipalities affected by the disaster, there will be a shift to monitoring inspections for the rice harvested from 2020.

Vegetables

POINT

During the nine years from FY2011 to FY2019, there was a steady decrease in the percentage of the total number of cases that exceeded the standard limit. In recent years, there have been almost no cases where the standard limit (100 Bq/kg) is exceeded.

Source: "Fukushima Prefectural Fisheries and Marine Science Research Center"

POINT
