 From 4 to 10 May 2014, Reconstruction Minister, Nemoto visited Spain and Norway in order to learn and exchange opinions on the leading examples and ideas towards the Creation of “New Tohoku”.
 In Spain, Minister Nemoto visited Malaga City which is one of the model cities of renewable energy. He visited the Electric Vehicle project site by NEDO, renewable energy-related facilities and exchanged opinions with the Mayor of Malaga.
 Moreover, Minister Nemoto visited a seafood processing factory which showcases its latest technology.  He also met with the Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs.
 In addition, Minister gave a lecture on the current state and initiatives of Reconstruction from The Great East Japan Earthquake at University of Oslo in Norway.

Overall, this visit was highly successful in compiling knowledge and information for formulating policy towards the creation of “New Tohoku” which is first-prioritized along with “acceleration of the reconstruction processes”.
